ABOUT THE AUTHOR Aziz Burney

Born in Bulandshahar, U.P. in 1952 Aziz Burney has long been associated with Sahara India Parivar as the Joint Editor of its Urdu daily and weekly journals. He made his debut as a writer with the publication debut as a writer with the publication of “Dastan-e-Hind” a book about the Gujarat riots, which had simultaneously appeared in Urdu and Hindi. His other work “Chashmdeed Gawah” a political novel about Best Bakery case is also available in both these languages as well as in English under the title of “Eyewitness”. In addition to that Burney is a fiction writer and his story collections and novels such as Inteqam, Call Girl, Pritikirya, Jihad, Beauty Queen, Tohfa has been widely acclaimed by the critics as noteworthy publications.
