Being born and brought up in a "homoeopatic family", in an environment of homoeopathic philoso¬phy and having had the proud privilege to descend the "homoepathic blood" from three generations of ances¬tral homoeopathy, since then Comparative Materia Medica has been author`s special field of attraction and I found that there is an absolute dearth of good literatures in this subject of Comparisons of Remedies. This vast compendium is an extensive and exhaustive collection of different information, symptoms, clinical intuition from different standard Materia Medicas and the author has systematically arranged them in a sche¬matic fashion to give a comparative approach of the remedies so that the readers might understand the tiny differences of remedies on a single clinical heading or therapeutic topic. For instance, in the heading of stammering, he has compared different remedies and tried to delineate the tiny or minor differences even in terms of stammering amongst the various remedies; as a correct homoeopathic prescription can only be made through a proper qualitative totality (by this word he means, it is not only a quantitative addition of symptoms from head to foot, but also a qualitative matching of the drug personality with that of the person in disease). And these qualities and intuitions can only be developed by thorough analysis and evaluation of tiny compari¬sons and minor differences of each and every drug personality. The author has liberally taken references from (i) different Materia Medicas; (ii) special emphasis to make for Or. N.M. Chowdhury`s Materia Medica; (iii) and also collection of different information and clinical symptoms.
