Learning takes place from early years of life of child. But formal and systematic learning organised by an elderly trained person designated as a teacher through an institution recognized as a school. Since independence, universalization of elementary education has been a national goal. Besides the access, enrolment and retention of children in schools, the quality of education at primary level lies with the school effectiveness, which is linked to more than a single factors. Few such factors having strong association with the state of affairs may be effective organisation of learning and participation of community in school education.
