Seals of South India

This book documents the records of the seals prevalent in South India from ancient times to early 20th century, based on published sources and private collections, Providing an overview of the seals, it gives a detailed account of inscribed and uninscribed seals as well as seals on copper plate grants. An extract from Ain-i-Akbari has also been incorporated which throws light on the seals prevalent during the reign of Emperor Akbar.
