ABOUT THE AUTHOR Y.S. Sreenivas

Y.S. Sreenivas, an Assistant Professor of Botany, has a brilliant academic career, standing first in all examinations. His major research interest includes seed biology, pest control, biotechnology, medical plants and ethnobotany. He has guided 4 Ph.D. students and 2 MSc students to complete their research dissertations. He has been the principal investigator of many research projects funded by national agencies.He has visited several major research laboratories and delivered invited talks in many international conferences held in the USA, Canada and the Netherlands. He is a member of the editorial and advisory board of many reputed journals. He has published more than 17 research papers and review articles in journals of repute. He has edited/ written 2 books on plant biology.
