Silent Victims: Emerging Issue of Environment

The volume examines the issue of environmental degradation with a new and bold perspective. It is a study of the strategy of investors and big corporations, backed by the Western economies, to manipulate markets and control the economy of nations, particularly the developing ones, in order to grow economically stronger. It throws light on the impact of capitalist development and environmental policies touted by the West. It calls for victim nations to come together and ask for compensation from the damage resulting from surplus pollution perpetrated by the big polluting nations. Pointing out that there are two values, natural and unnatural, in the economy with only the former contributing to gross value of the economy while the latter leads to environmental destruction, it relates the process of production and absorption of the values to environmental issues and their impact on health.
