Gayatri Mavuru is a Bhubaneswar based writer, poet, artist, social activist, choreographer, educator and social entrepreneur. She is the founder and managing trustee of Sri Gayatri Vidya Vikash Education Trust which is dealing with women empowerment, education for underprivileged, promoting education among slum children, promoting art, culture, literature and heritage. She is the founder and Director Cherry Blossoms Pre School.
She studied at the prestigious Sri Padmavathi MahilaVishva Vidhyalayam, and obtainedM.sc (biotech). She have pursued her B.Ed. degree (Biology and English) from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and also qualified CTET. She worked as a Lecturer (Biotechnology) in Rajah RSRK Ranga Rao College, Bobbili,Andhra Pradesh. She is a formerteacher in TATA DAV public school, Joda, Odisha.
She has been invited to join prestigious international, national literary festivals including Jaipur Literature Festival, Kalinga Literary Festival, Bhubaneswar Poetry Festival Odisha Literary Festival and several regional literary and poetry Festivals. Recently her poem was published in an anthology entitled Symphony Of Peace and she has attended the prestigious 10th International Poetry Festival, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
Amongsther achievements, Gayatri has participated in the prestigious Kalinga Literary and Art Festival. She is an active member of Bhubaneswar Poetry Club. She has been an active participant of various poetry workshops and recitals organized by numerous forums. She has recited her poems at Kalinga Literary Festival, Bhubaneswar Poetry Club, KIIT Literature Club and etc.She is an avid researcher and her interests span a wide area – Cross-cultural Management, Culture Studies etc.
