Ecology and agrarian classes have assumed tremendous significance in the last several decades. The book revolves around social ecology and its relationship with agrarian structure in a setting in which agriculture has a commercial orientation. This has focused on the changing relations between the agrarian classes due to the determining influence of the ecological conditions.
