Social System in the Vedic Literature

The Veda is the storehouse of knowledge containing life-style, morality, property, various works of the Aryans. A detailed discussion of their social system shows an idea of such people to attempt self sufficiency from the supplies of sorts of occupations through the family life of socialism. The foundation of the social structure in the Vedic period was the family. The society was divided into tribes settled in different regions mainly some groups known as Varna i.e. Caste that had separate occupations and also activities. The Veda shows dignity of labour.
