Soil and Solid Wate Analysis: A Laboratory Manual

The main objective of this manual has been to make available the information in a single manual which was otherwise inconveniently scattered in literature, beyond the reach of large number of readers, specifically students and research scholars. This manual has been written in a simple manner, so that these experiments can be conducted even by an undergraduate. The principles involved in each experimental method is outlined at the beginning of each analytical parameter. Then the preparation of the reagents required for the analytical method, the procedure and calculation of result are described. The most important feature of this manual is the interpretation of analytical results. This manual will also provide a wider perspective in the concepts of soil and solid waste analysis to the scientists and soil chemists working in the various laboratories and engineers, executives and consultants those are engaged in soil pollution control works. It is hoped that this manual would maintain a uniform standard in analysis of soil and solid waste analysis in the laboratory procedures.
