Status of Women in Islam

The present book deals with the status of women in Islam. It has been divided into two parts-the first deals with the status of women as per tenets of Islam in the family structure and in the society and economy; and the other, with the status of Muslim women in our country. The discussion on the status of women in the family structure deals with the status of a daughter, the right given to a girl to choose her spouse, the right of the mother and the right of a wife vis-à-vis her husband.
