Each of the eleven chapters has been written by experts. The vital aim was to produce a useful book by combining comprehensive reviews of the scientific literature. The first six chapters deal with moisture, chemical and physical changes with time, microflora, respiration and heating, insects and rodents. Next five chapters deal largely with areas in which practical experience is the chief source of knowledge.
The book is useful for entomologist policy makers and those who are responsible for storage of food grains.
