Studies in Muslim Philosophy

Nearly one-third of the book has given us an account of the four principal philosophical movements of the early medieval period – Mu’tazilism, Ah’arism, Sufism and the Ikhwan al-Safa’. The rest of it ideals with the group of thinkers who were known during the same period as the ‘Philosophers, i.e. thinkers under the influence of Greek philosophy.  The book contains a comprehensive bibliography, useful notes and a detailed index, the utility of which for the student of philosophy and Islamic studies and those general readers who want to extend their studies in Muslim thought further, is evident.
