Good writing has to do with the opening of the mind’s eye to truths rooted in, but moving beyond our diurnal – too familiar – existence. If these, not infrequently vision laced verses have a common theme, it is of the marvelous told transparently, and the plain found to be astonishing, as much as the repeated coming back to life of the heart from its routine demise, that is, from the trivial that right now so much forms the content of metropolitan life. Here, then, is a poet of the transforming eye. In some ways, the contents of part one, in this four part volume, can be said to justify the title of the book, even though the earlier composed poem duo, of Subcontinental and Saarc, sould have done so more directly. Those two verses are, therefore, carried on the flap that follows the present one.
