Sustainable Management of Water Resources

Er. J.N. Nandasana is presently working as Assistant Research Engineer (PHTS). He has about 15 years of experience. Er. Nandasana acquired his B.Tech. (Agril Engg.) inj 1988 and perusing his in-service M.Tech. from CAET, JAU, Junagadh. He has handled several investigations in the ICAR sponsored PHT projects. He had 6 national publications to his credit. He had edited many proceedings of many national conferences and prepared annual and progress reports of AICRP Scheme on Post Harvest Technology.

Dr. K.C. Patel is presently working as Assistant Professor. He has about 15 years of technical, teaching and research experience. Er. Patel obtained his B. Tech. (Agril. Engg.) and M. Tech. (SWE) from CAET, GAU, Junagadh in 1988 and 1998 respectively. He also handled ICAR sponsored ad-hoc project. His specialization includes irrigation system automation. To his credit he has published 10 papers. He had edited many proceedings of many national conferences and prepared technical manuals and reports. Looking to his expertise in computer and network systems he is holding the additional responsibility of Nodal Officer, IT, JAU, Junagadh.

Dr. N.C. Patel is presently working as Dean & Principal, CAET, JAU, Junagadh. He did his B.E. (Ag) from CTAE, Udaipur in 1978, M.Tech. (Crop Process Engg.) in 1980 and Ph.D. (Post Harvest Engg.) in 1992-93 from IIT Kharagpur. He has about 25 years of experience in research and teaching. He has several publications in National and International journals. He has organized more than 14 seminars, conferences and workshops of national and state level. He developed many agricultural implements for mechanizing the agricultural farms and worked successfully in R&D of sprinkler and drip irrigation systems of M/s Jyoti Limited, Vadodara. He guided several M.Tech. students as well as headed several committees.

Dr. P.M. Chauhan has about 17 years research and teaching experience and presently working as Research Engineer in AICRP on Application of Plastics in Agriculture (ICAR). He received his M. Tech. (Post Harvest Engg) from IIT Kharagpur in 1988 and Ph.D. (Energy Studies) from IIT Delhi in 1995. he was awarded UGC and CSIR fellowships for higher studies. He was also visiting scientist at University of California, Davis, USA during 2001-02 to work on greenhouse energy conservation. Dr. Chauhan is specialized in soil solarization, earth tube heat exchanger, computerized greenhouse fertigation and environment controlling systems, and greenhouse energy conservation. To his credit he has about 40 publications in various journals, magazines and proceedings. He has developed about 15 mathematical models. He has completed ICAR and MNES funded projects.

Dr. R. Subbaiah is Professor & Head, Soil & Water Engineering Department of CAET, JAU, Junagadh. He obtained his Ph.D. in Water Resources Planning & Management from IIT, Kharagpur in 1993; M.E. in Irrigation Water Management from CTAE, Udaipur in 1987 and B. Tech (Agril. Engg.) from Dr. PDKV, Akola in 1985. He has 18 years of experience in research and teaching. He is recipient of CSIR Senior Fellowship and Member of Board of Governors in American Biographical Institute. To his credit he has more than 52 papers in various journal and proceedings. He developed various mathematical models and his Biographical Institute. His paper on “Stochastic Modeling of Evapotranspiration” was awarded the best paper in the National Seminar on Agro-Meteorology Research for Sustaininjg Agril. Productivity held at Anand during Sept. 27-28, 2001. He had completed ICAR ad-hoc projects and plan schemes.
