ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mariam Karim Ahlawat
MARIAM KARIM, born in Lucknow, and educated both at Jawaharlal Nehru University (Delhi) and the Sorbonne (Paris) in French Literature and Pedagogy, Mariam Karim has travelled widely in India and in Europe both as an academic and as an Army daughter and wife. She writes for children under the name Mariam Karim-Ahlawat. She currently lives in Delhi, with her eleven-year-old son.
