ABOUT THE AUTHOR Kunwar Deo Prasad

Dr. Kunwar Deo Prasad (b. 1946) graduated with Honours in Economics in 1964 from L.S. College Muzaffarpur and was awarded the University Gold Medal for securing first class first position in that examination. He passed his M.A. (Economics) from the University of Bihar, Muzafferpur in 1966 and obtained Ph.D. degree in 1977 from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. He joined as Lecturer in Economics in Jag Jivan Collebge, Gaya, a constitutent degree college of Magadh University, where he is currently serving as Reader and Head of the Department. Dr. Prasad has contributed several scholarly articles in leading journals of Economics and Indology. He is also member of several learned institutions and societies of the country.
