Teacher Education programme should built upon a strongfoundation. There is a need to equip our teachers with the ideas ofchange. Only a competent teacher can bring desirable changes in thestudents and in the community and such teachers are called Nationbuilders. The inadequate teacher preparation at the secondary levelcauses lots of problem in helping students in developingappropriate attitude and learning skills. This observation of theinvestigator made to investigate the factors effecting teachingcompetence of pre service teachers.
