Teaching Pedagogy: Current Issues

The volume views the challenges to the traditional teaching pedagogy in the contemporary scenario. The papers probe questions relating to why teacher education discourse in India is resistant to meaningful cross-examination. They analyse existing dualities and conceptual disconnects relating to education of children and the curriculum, teacher and curriculum, and theory and practice. They view the tension between policy imperative and the lived reality of school education.
