ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ashwani Kumar
Ashwani Kumar, a Congress Party member of Rajya Sabha from Punjab, and Chairman, AICC Vichar Vibhag, is a practicing Senior Advocate at the Supreme Court and was appointed Additional Solicitor General of India in 1990 at the age of 37. He has appeared before the Court in landmark cases which include the Bhopal Gas case, the Gujarat Presidential Reference case and the recently decided Electoral Reforms case. At 33, he first represented India as a non-official member of the Indian Delegation to the UN General Assembly in1986 and later again in 1996. Ashwani Kumar ahs also served as a Spokesperson of the Congress Party and as member of the Congress Party's Economic Policy Introspection Group. He has travelled extensively and was as Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington. He has also lectured at the University of Nice. He is currently a member of the Standing Committee of Parliament on Commerce and has also served as a member of the Standing Committee of Parliament on Energy. Ashwani Kumar is the son of Late Prabodh Chandra, a veteran freedom fighter, distinguished parliamentarian and Congress leader from Punjab.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Niraj Kumar
Dr. Niraj Kumar (b. 1952) holds a doctorate in Business Administration. Having a brilliant record with merit scholarships and gold medals, he has been honoured with the Vice Chancellor's Testimonial of being one of the finest students on the rolls of the Lucknow University. He was an U.G.C. Research Fellow and was on the teaching faculty of Banaras Hindu University in the area of Commerce and Management Studies. Besides varied experience in journalism, he is a regular contributor to research and professional journals on Management, with specialisation in Behavioural Science. Personal Management and Labour Relations. He is a management consultant to a number of national and international organisations. He has widely travelled abroad number of times as a management consultant and has presented number of papers in various technical sessions, besides conducting Management Development Programme. Several books are to his credit, out of which, Communication in Indian Industires, A Genesis of Behavioural Science, Peoples Paradise in the East has the credit of being the first book on the subject by an Indian author. His forthcoming publications are: Dictionary of Management, Marketing Communications: Theory and Practice and Managerial Interface. Presently, he is a senior faculty member of Department of Business Administration, University of Lucknow and Director of its B.B.A. Programme and Coordinator of M.B.A. Three-year Programme.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Sudhi Ranjan Garg
Dr. Sudhi Ranjan Garg is a senior Professor of Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology in the College of Veterinary Sciences, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at Hisar (India). He has also worked as Head of the Department. Dr. Garg completed his Master of Veterinary Sciences in Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology in 1982. He was later awarded Russian Government Scholarship for doctoral studies and obtained Ph.D. from the prestigious All-Russian Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medicine in Moscow in 1991.
Dr. Garg has over 30 years of experience of extensive graduate and postgraduate teaching and research on zoonotic diseases. Dr. Garg is currently engaged in propagating the ‘One Health’ concept in the region.
