This book aims to not only provide an insight into the fundamental and basic concepts of mycology in a simple manner, but also exposes students to the complexities of the fascinating world of fungi. Mycology is a vigorous field. Rapid developments are occurring in the area of fungal systematics. Hence, this book is based on the latest phylogenetic information and principles involved in their classification. All efforts have been made to include current and relevant information for the benefit of students. This text book is a result of years of authors' involvement in the teaching and research activities in Mycology and Phytopathology.
