The All India Muslim Educational Conference

This book highlights the achievements of the All India Muslim Educational Conference, an organ of the Aligarh movement launched by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in 1886. The objective of the Conference was to foster new among the Muslims of India in the context of a colonial state dominated by Western culture. It played a critical role in spreading modern education among Muslim men and women and provided a forum for debate and discussion on the various social and cultural issues confronting the community.
