The Buddhist Women of North-East India and South-West China

Jayanti Alam is an independent scholar and activist, of women and children and other deprived groups of our society. She has been working ‘for’ them through her writings, and ‘with’ them on the roads and in their habitats. She has also made a deep study of Tibetan society and also written an other book “Tibetan Society in Exile.” She has got many articles on women’s work, migration, effects of globalisation, child labour, human rights, etc. published in various journals, newspapers and edited books. She has presented papers in national and international seminars.
