The Glorious History and Culture of Anhilwad Patan (Gujarat): Prof. Mukundbhai P. Brahmakshatriya Felicitation Volume

Mr. Manibhai Prajapati, is Libration and Head, Department of Library and Information Science, Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan, since 1991. Prior to this he also served the Central Secretarist Library, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi as Librarian (Grade-I) and as Assistant Director (1979-1991), and B.K. Arts, Science and Commerce College, Palanpur as Librarian (1971-1979). He was awarded Indo-British TCTP Award for advanced study in the field of Library and Information Science in 1989-1990. He received his Masters Degree in the Library and Information Science from the Loughborough University of Technology, England and also has Masters degree in Hindi-Sanskrit from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. Mr. Prajapati attended few national and two international conference and presented papers. He reviewed about 135 books on Sanskrit Literature, Manuscriptology, History, Culture, Gujarati Literature, Library Science, Reference work etc. which collection published under the title Grantha-Saurabh (2005). He also edited Bibliographic Survey of Catalogues of Indian Languages Manuscsripts (with S.C. Biswas, 1998) contribution of Gujarat to Sanskrit Literature (with Dr. Gautam Patel, 1998) Mohanlal Patel: Svadhyaya Grantha (2001), role of Libraries in the 21st Century (2002) etc. which are highly acclaimed. He has been editing ‘Udicya’: the fortnightly newsletter and Anarta: the Research Journal of the HNG University, Patan since 1991. He has published about 30 studied articles and research papers on various subjects. He has also translated the INFIBNETs Soul (Software for University Libraries) Manual (2004) into Gujarati Language.
