ABOUT THE AUTHOR Akhilesh N. Singh
Akhilesh N. Singh, a management consultant by profession, is a firm believer of "Vedanta as Science of Life" that can bring perfection in every area of human activity. Driven by this belief, he is engaged in a sincere study of the Vedas and Upanishads, has formally undergone courses in Vedanta and Vedic Astrology from reputed institutions, and is associated with teh Chinmaya Mission for over two decades. An engineer (from Banaras Hindu University)with postgraduate qualifications in Business Management and Quality Management, he has had opportunity of working for over three decades in two leading companies: Steel Authority of India Ltd and Jindal Strips Ltd. He has received training in USA and Japan on Total Quality Management and World Class Manufacturing techniques. Currently associated with the consulting division of Federation of Indian chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI), as a Management Consultant. He has authored six books on Quality Management, a book on Steel Technology, and developed two managements techniques titled "Strategic Cost Management" and "The 7 radical steps to Change the Mindset" published in the form of CD ROMs. He had the rare opportunity of learning the fundamentals of Vedanta from one of the greatest masters of the subject, Swami Chinmayanand. Inspired by his discourses and powerful concepts of Vedanta, he is attempting to translate Vedantic concepts into corporate management language that can be effectively edployed by professionals in business organizations and their day-to-day life.
