The second edition of this book has explained some of the important issues of scientifically-based philosophy of peace under the celebrated Sufi Principle described as the Unity of All Being, which tends to liberate human ego from its violent involvement in aggression motivating ideas of Race, Nation, Religion and Culture. This Sufi Principle embodies a basic ethics of existence for the inner unification of humankind, in the absence of which a World Parliament-if ever it is created-can never survive and no enforceable law for International Justice can operate. The author considers the thought content of this civilization, originating from the separation of matter and spirit as perverse and treatise terrorism as one of the worst evils of this perversion that its origin from religious fundamentalism. The author draws insights from the leaders of scientific philosophy in the fields of the philosophy of physics, philosophy of evolution and microbiology. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Moazziz Ali Beg
Professor Moazziz Ali Beg was born on August 27, 1932 at Agra and after finishing his schooling in Agra, he graduated from the Aligarh Muslim University in 1952. He took his M.S. from the University of Oregon in 1959 and his Ph.D. from the AMU in 1962. He taught in the Department of Psychology till 1989, till his retirement from there as Professor and Chairman of Department of Psychology. He joined Maharishi Dayanand University at Rohtak in 1990-91 as Visiting Professor, and latter on the joined the University of Roorkee as Visiting Scholar in 1991 and left in 1993. He is presently living in Lucknow. Dr. Beg is an Internationally known psychologist and has lectured in many Indian Universities and in Universities of Munich, California and Georgia where his work initiated considerable research on the Sufi and Vedantic thought. He is member of the Association of Humanistic Psychology, International Philosophers for Peace, University of Virginia, Chairman, Association of World Citizens (Lucknow Chapter), and academic associate of the Department of Higher Education, Lucknow University. He was MLA in UP Assembly from June 1977 to February 1980. His biography has come out from the US and UK in most prestigious books published by the International Biographical Institute, North Carolina and the International Biographical Centre, Cambridge.
