Geeta Devi hails from the Malwala family of late raja Dharm Karan of Hyderabad. The family came to Hyderabad with the first Nizam, Nizam-ul-Mulk. She has conducted many food festivals of Hyderabadi cuisine, and received accolades for her knowledge of the regional cuisine and her gourmet instinct.
