The book, The Meitei Society: A Study on Life Circle Ceremonies is an interesting aspect of the culture of Meities the major community in Manipur. Though they are Indian, they belongs to the Mongoloid stock with distinct cultural trait before their conversion into Hinduism in the 18 century A.D. Till now we can vividly seen a synthesis of the past culture with Hindu culture. That is why we find an unique feature in the Meitei culture.
