Many books have been written by important writers on Muslims politics of India but Muslims politics with special reference U.P. has not been dealt with separately so far. Hence this topic has been chosen to highlight the various aspects such as their aims to power sharing, working pattern and contribution in the Indian politics in pre-independence era. In order to facilitate the description of the study the work has been divided into seven chapters i.e. introduction, formation of Muslim League and their political movement, the civil disobedience movement followed by Round Table Conference , impact of Govt. of India Act 1935 and elections held under this act, ups and sons of Muslims politics from 1937 to 1947, and the conclusion. This book will be an interesting and important addition to the studies on the history of Muslims politics in India in general and U.P. in particular. The analysis of motives, characteristics and pattern of working of Muslim politics is of great interest to a student of Indian history.
