The Nagabanshis and the Cheros

The Nagbansis and the Cheros is a unique and highly illuminating account of the Mughal, Maratha and British relations with the Nagbanshis, the Cheros, the Mundas and the Oraons during the period from 1585 to 1830 AD. It describes the gradual extension of the Mughal imperial authority, Maratha influence and finally the East India Company’s rule over the regions under review. Based mainly on Persian Chronicles, and unpublished records of British India, folk-lores, inscriptions and archaeological evidences.
