ABOUT THE AUTHOR Steve Smith
Steve Smith, MSc, BSc (Hons), PGCE, RGN, lectures in nursing at the University of East Anglia Faculty of Health School of Nursing and Midwifery. Following five years of care for people with learning disabilities, and general medical and surgical nursing, he developed his special interest in care for people with degenerative neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, motor neuron disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease and other problems associated with brain deterioration. He has received various scholarships including two awards from the Florence Nightingale Foundation. He is currently studying for a PhD in a related field.
