Dr. Perugu Ramakrishna (born 27.05.1960) writes poetry and fiction. He has to his credit 4 books of poetry and 2 books of short-stories (edited). His famous book is Flemingo (A Long Poem in English). He is recipient of UWA Outstanding Intellectual of 21st Century Award, Chennai, Ranjani-Kundurthi National Award, Hyderabad &Millenium X-Ray National Award, Vijayawada. His literary style is "Modern Free Verse" writing. Eminent Telugu poets comments that it contains innovative expression with new and contemporary subjects.
A widely published poet in various national and international arena, Dr. Sigma is currently an Assistant Professor of English at VTMNSS College, Trivandrum, affiliated to Kerala University.Besides being a poet and an article writer, she is also an editor, reviewer and advisory board member in seven international Journals. It could be noticed at first sight that her rich and thematically assorted poetry is characterised by ethical aspirations with an eloquent feminist, human and features of intimacy. Dr Sigma has got eleven years of teaching experience as a Professor in India and abroad. She authored four poetry books and recently her Feminine Blues got translated into Serbian language. World Institute of Peace, Nigeria,awarded her ‘World Best Poet of the year 2017’. Recently she received ‘Mirabhai Literary Award’ from Organization of United Working Journalist forum supported by Public Relations Department, Puri, Govt. of Odisha on National Press day2016. She is an international director of ‘World Union of Poets’ and has participated in several prestigious National and international Poetry festivals.
