The Professor’s Memoirs

In the present book the author presents his experiences of teaching in the colleges of Haryana from1981, when he joined his job as an Assistant Professor, to 2014 when he retired as Principal. The book describes his emotional and intellectual development as a man, a government officer and a teacher. But the narrative is not limited to his individual progress; it delves into many serious issues and problems infesting the present system of education in Haryana and our country in general. The narrative is full of funny and hilarious episodes, incidents and lively characters as well as serious discourses. Sometimes a bitter note is discernible but it points to the weaknesses in the system which needs improvement and reformation.
