The Tiger is a Gentleman: Leaves from a Wildlife Photographer’s Diary

This book, The Tiger is a Gentleman, by Shri Vivek R Sinha, is a chronicle of his close association with wildlife and his experiences in the jungles during two decades of photographic excellence. Shri Sinha is an internationally acknowledged wildlife photographer and has a special love for nature. He and Smt. Sinha have frequently visited different sanctuaries together and have gained a wealth of experience, which they share with the reader. The book gives very useful information, and is written in a lucid manner, indicative of the author’s great familiarity with wildlife, its behaviour and its adaptation to nature. It has excellent photographs, taken at times in hazardous situations. In this book, the author has relived the close calls he has had in the Indian jungles while photographing wildlife. There is also a chapter each on the superstitions of jungle folk, and some unusual experiences. I am sure that the book will have a good reader response and will significantly add to knowledge on this vital subject.
