These are the selected manuscript from the scientific deliberations of the 4th World Assembly on tobacco Counters Health held from 5th to 9th December 2005 in New Delhi. India. As designed and established by practice these transactions cover a large field of tobacco related problems related to public health spread over different fields like Oncology, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Social and Moral research and their management thus stressing the difficulties in and laying stress on stress on prevention. Realizing the fat that even today one fourth of the cancer long deaths, despite the ban on tobacco use in public places and FCTS, are related to tobacco use it become very important to re-evaluate our strategies and devise more effective means of tobacco avoidance and elimination. Limitations of efforts at administrative level like the introduction and implementation of legislation in countries where both the educational and economical standards are high as compared to the rest of the world is well brought out in the Japanese symposium. All efforts at applied level which were aimed at cessation or –de-addition protocols have achieved remarkable but limited success. It is thus worth the time and money that re-emphasis to re-double the efforts to research at preventive levels so that one ay vaccination shall rid the individual from the use of tobacco fro a life time. More work and larger multinational sample, as being planned by our colleagues, for adequate evaluation of such a vaccine is a logical step in the right direction. At another level of fundamental research on SHS bring to light encouraging findings by our Californian colleagues.
