Susanta Kumar Barik (b.1972) is Master of Arts (Economics), Master of Business Administration (Human Resource Management), M. Phil in (Resource Management) and Doctorate. He has authored five books on MFIs, Tribal Development, Non-Timber Forest Product (NTFP) Management, Contract Farming (CF) etc which are published nationally and internationally. Besides, he has penned many research articles published in national and international journals. During his Two Decades of professional life, he has been associated with various national and international institutions. As a researcher he has been associated with institutions like DANLEP, ORG-MARG, ODI-Uk, and CDR-Denmark. As development professional to execute rural development projects in coordination with Government, he has worked with Institutions like CARE-India and Terre des hommes. During this stint, he had worked with 30 Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to execute EU supported Sustainable Tribal Empowerment Project (STEP). As a corporate professional, he has worked with Ashley Bio-fuels, Ashok Leyland (Hinduja Group) to steer the bio-fuel fleet at Visakhapatnam and currently, working as professional Director for Biomass Development Cooperation Pvt Ltd (BDCPL) and Vice-President for Agrigold Foods and Farm Products Ltd (Agri Division) of Agrigold Group of Industries.
