In this volumes have tried to explain the socio-culture aspects of perinatal biology and mortality. This research was carried out with anthropological and epidemiological conceptual basis and an evaluation of existing health services regarding perinatal health case have been done. All parameter and their strength of association with PNMR have been measured systematically. This volume is important for medical scientists, health workers, social workers, medical anthropologist, sociologist, demographers and local health authortres and administrators.

Dr. Moyna Chakravarty, M.Sc. (Biological Anthropology) Ph.D. (Anthropo-Genetics). She has experiences of Teaching / Research (18 years) in physical Anthropology, Genetic epidemiology, Health and diseases in human population. She has published more than 25 research papers in national and International Journals, Chapters in books. She has guided 3 Ph.D. She is working as a Reader in Deptt. Of Anthropology, Pt. R.S. University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Dr. Sandeep Sharma, M.Sc. (Biological Anthropology), Ph.D. (Perinatal Child Survival). Hounred Doctoral fellowship by Ministry of Tribal welfare New Delhi. Later on selected as a research fellow in Anthropological Survey of India for DNA Polymorphism programme. He has experiences of Teaching / Research (8 years) in Modern Methods of Anthropological techniques, Population Genetics and Health related problems specially among Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and other backward class, Hilly, desert and slum population. He has published more than 12 research papers in national and International Journals, chapters in books and 3 books to his credit. Dr. Sharma was teaching in Deptt. Of Anthropology G.G. University Bilaspur from 2002-2005. Now he is with National Institute of Health and Family Welfare New Delhi and is currently consultant (Population genetics), Deptt. Of Population Genetics & Human Development.
