With the world’s growing human population, competing uses of natural resources will continue to force many hard allocation decisions on resource managers and politicians. Worldwide, thousands of acres of wildlife habitat are lost every day to development, resource extraction, or human encroachment. As the wildlife resource continues to decline in both numbers and extent, custodians of wildlife are forced to find new and effective methods to demonstrate the benefit wildlife and wildlife-related activities can provide to humankind. The primary intent of the book is to aware students, researchers, teachers and for travellers as a source guide covering information about the wildlife in India.
