With Three Prime Ministers: Reminiscences

The lessons to be learnt from the book is to respect the will of the people who elect the members of legislative bodies. It is a great honour and privilege to be a member of parliament. Rajiv Gandhi was sworn in as Prime Minister by President Giani Zail Singh. He had a keen desire to build and modernize Institutions of democracy. His preference was to start work on legal and judicial reforms. P.V. Narsimha Rao chose Dr. Man Mohan Singh as his Finance Minister. Dr. Man Mohan Singh brought changes slowly but surely. His priority to restore the efficacy of Institutions of democracy gave strength to economy. I was part of his Cabinet in UPA-I.
