Ewing Christian College, University of Allahabad, India, organized a national seminar on ‘Women Empowerment : Dimensions, Direction & future’, at Allahabad: August 2010. Eminent researchers and academicians from different Indian Universities presented their theoretical and empirical research work focusing broadly on the topical issue of women empowerment, at the said event. Present publication offers a select compilation of over 60 of these presentations. Enriched with empirical evidences from different parts and regions of the country, the book is a mine of analytical information related to different dimensions of the subject.
