ABOUT THE AUTHOR Shanker Singh

Shankar Singh did his B. Lib. Sc. from B. H. U. He  secured M. L. I. S. Degree form University of  Madras. After having worked as Librarian at Central Library, U. P. State Cement Corporation Ltd. Churk, Sonebhadra (1976-1991), he joined as Librarian Power finance Corporation Ltd. New Delhi. He organised and automated PFC Library and Information Centre as a resource for Power Sector Studies in India. Presently he is Incharge of the Centre and designated as a Dy; Manager for the development of Online/Networking Services of the Centre. He  has published  more than Twenty articles on  library Science and Hindi. He is a life member of ILA, IASLIC, UPLA, and SIS. He is also associated with library Science Training centre of UPLA, Ghaziabad.
