Anjali Devi was initiated to Hatha-Yoga by B. Krishnayya, from the Kaivalyadhama. While studying child nursing and working in the delivery theatre at the maternity usefulness of Yoga for mothers during pregnancy. Sri Ananda is the founder-head of the 'Centre Indian de Yoga' in Paris, where he teaches traditional Yoga and meditation. His research into Hatha-Yoga was carried out under the guidance of Swami Kuvalyananda, of Kaivalyadhama, Lonavla, India. He has also studied Ayurveda, in particular the Samhitas of Charaka, Sushruta and Vagbhata, In this book, he makes a special reference to these texts which deals with conception, embryology, hygiene, and balanced diet.
