Drukpa school was founded by Ling raspa during 12th century A.D. His disciple Tsang pa Gyeraspa founded two monasteries viz. Ralung and Druk. Thereafter, Padma Karpo protected and promoted this tradition. In 1952 he got Parinirvana.
