The book, “Atlas Animal Genetics Resources of India”, is an Original work through a collective efforts of the authors who themselves carried out the phenotypic and Genetic characterization of breeds of different livestock and Poultry species. The book is based on Review of published and unpublished information on different breeds, compilation of own data collected by the authors through field based studies. The photographs from left side of the Animals of both and Female sexes have been given. Majority of the photographs were authors own collection and others have been taken from the Photographic Unit of National Bureau of Animal Genetic Resources.
The book contains 274 pages of comprehensive text on different species and breeds. There are 213 references quoted for the literature referred for the compilation of the Atlas.
