The book is a study of the Indo-China border conflicts since the 1962 war between India and China. It deals with Indo-China border-related hostility over the years covering various aspects like the national defence of China particularly its defence preparedness and show of strength, Indias Tibet policy over time, Chinese missile exports to Pakistan and its military assistance to Pakistan, and emergence of Nepal as the new strategic partner of China. Referring to political developments and presenting highlights of diplomatic ties between the countries, it also views the Chinese plan for developing defence technologies by 2012 and exposes myths that have grown vis-a-vis Chinese military might.
