The problem of child labour has attracted considerable importance in the developing countries. The efforts are going on at national and international level to combat child labour still it is prevailing in almost all economies. The size of the child labour is not only large in India but it has been increasing year to year in spite of ILO conventions, labour legislations and India’s commitment for universal and compulsory education up to the age of 14 years. The main reason for the existence of child labour in India is poverty. Therefore, the most important evil the poverty has produced is child labour.
