Global climate change has already had observable effects on the environment. Glaciers have shrunk, ice on rivers and lakes is breaking up earlier, plant and animal ranges have shifted and trees are flowering sooner. Protecting the Earth?s ecosystems can yield immediate, cost-effective climate change solutions that will be forever lost if we do not take immediate action. Climate change is recognized today as the greatest environmental challenge, threatening to affect are spheres of our lives. The Indian environmental ethos which declares that all aspects and phenomena of nature belong together and are bound in a physical as well as metaphysical relationship and views life as a gift of togetherness and of mutual accommodation and assistance in a universe teeming with interdependent constitutes. Climate change will lead to global warnings, drought and desertification in India which will directly and indirectly affect the human beings. Climate Change describes changes in the state of the atmosphere over time scales ranging from decades to millions of years. While some define it as an offshoot of Earth?s natural processes, other define it as a result of human activities. Climate change is the most burning and contemporary issue which is an environmental challenge facing the humanity.
