Teaching of Mathematics

Dr. M.S.R. Sarma (born in 1955) is M.A. (Sociology), M.A.. (Philosophy), M.Ed., Ph.D. (Education) from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He is having, 26 years of experience as Teacher and Teacher Educator. He is working as Senior Lecturer in District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) having more than 15 years of experience. Dr. Sarma is a prolific writer, more than 20 articles were published in reputed and leading journals. He has presented more than 10 articles in both National and International Seminars. He also presented 4 reports to the State Project Office, DPEP/SSA, AP, Hyderabad. All the above are related to Primary Education. He acted as resource person in many teacher orientation programmes covering various themes both at State and District Level. He is also participated in more than 50 programmes organized at the state level. He also guiding on the Action Research works at district Level. Dr. Sarma received NCERT-National Award. He is honoured with Best Teacher Award (2003), Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad and Jewel of India Award for his meritorious and commendable contributions to the field of Education.

Dr. R. Siva Prasadh has had continuous bright career through out his academic life. He has a first hand knowledge in Residential schooling system as he, himself, had been involved as a Teacher, Lecturer, Principal and Member of Admission and Recruitment Board of Residential institutions for over 15 years. He has gained immeasurable practical knowledge about these institutions, which make him an indisputable authority on the subject of our study. Presently, the author is working in the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He has presented a good number of research papers in Regional, National and International seminars and workshops and for publication in Journals. Currently, he is engaged in Research project works on Value Education Programme and Performance and Effectiveness of the Principals working in Residential Schools of Andhra Pradesh His areas of special interest are Residential education of ancient and modem times, School Management; and Educational Administration and Planning.
