ABOUT THE AUTHOR Mohan Lal Vidyarthi
Professor Mohan Lal Vidyarthi has been a distinguished academician and historian in India. He obtained first class first position in M.A. (History) from prestigious Agra University in 1937, followed by M.A. (Political Science) in 1941 and Ph.D. in History in 1956. He started his career as a sub-editor in Pioneer newspaper, Lucknow (U.P.) and later worked for the Pratap newspaper, Kanpur (U.P.). Subsequently, he served as a faculty member in History in various Colleges and Universities in India. This includes and Professor & Head of Department of History, D.A.V. Post-graduate College, Kanpur (U.P.), Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Banasthali (Rajasthan). He also served as Principal of J.S. Hindu college, Amroha (U.P.) and D.S.N. Post-graduate College, Unnao (U.P.) He is recipient of Senior Fellowship in History from Uiversity Grants Commission, India and has been nominated as Member of Research Committee of Historical Records Commission, Government of India. Professor Vidyarthi has been regular writer on Culture, Modern Indian history and currente trends of Indian culture I leading newspapers and journals of repute.
