The book consists of thirteen chapters. The first chapter introduces the contents of the book. The second and third chapters deal with geology, structure and tectonic history. The fourth chapter has been devoted to general physiography of the area. Morphometric analysis of linear, areal and relief aspects have been included in chapters fifth, sixth and seventh. The eighth chapter deals with some significant geomorphic features and their geomorphic interpretations. The ninth chapter discusses the surface history and evolution of the drainage system. The tenth chapter examines the models of landscape evolution. The eleventh chapter is on climatic and climatogenetic geomorphology. In the twelfth chapter geomorphic regions have been discussed. Finally there is an important chapter of applied geomorphology. Bibliography has been given at the end of the book. The book will be useful for the students of higher studies, research scholars and planners of river valley projects.
